SCHOOL COUNCIL

“I like School Council because we get to talk!”

(Daniel Acorn Class representative)

The school highly values the view of it’s pupils and has a School Council made up of members elected from each class.

The school highly values the view of it’s pupils and has a School Council made up of members elected from each class.

The School Council meets regularly to discuss what the pupils like about school and what they would like to improve. They plan social activities such as the regular discos in school and fundraising activities.

Additionally, they discuss items such as safety  in school and school dinners. They contribute to Governors meeting reporting back on their findings.

At a recent Governors meeting Carlos reported that they know that they need to vigilant about anti-terrorism and Daniel reported that there is no bullying in school as it is not allowed!

The School Council have taken part in a visit to the Houses of Parliament and one represents the school  at the LA School Forum and two pupils take part in the Special School Student Forum.

Our School Council Members:

Here are our new school council representatives, who will represent the school for the year.

So far we have voted for the Halloween disco, for each class to make a Guy Fawkes and the new playground rules.

Our next job is to decide on lunchtime clubs.
